Editorial redesign of Expeditors' internal Global Training Newsletter, reaching approximately 17,000 employees world wide.
Our team's goal was to deliver a concise and relevant summary of the most critical training updates, policies, and procedures while keeping in mind Expeditors' vision and goals. Collaborating with three senior managers, we gathered information about new training products, videos, and collateral, which were then shared in the form of this monthly E-Newsletter. Our deployment strategy involved sending the Newsletter via Outlook every second week of the month and archiving it in SharePoint for easy access.
But we didn't settle for just that. We went the extra mile by posting the Newsletter on its own SharePoint page and collecting feedback and analytics to refine our content and process. Furthermore, we made sure that the monthly Newsletter was easily accessible on our PDC (Professional Development Center) landing page, allowing our employees to stay informed and up-to-date with the latest training news, and fostering their engagement in the process.

I aimed to elevate our development cycle from being a mere "process" to becoming "pillars of training excellence."
- Fiorella F. A.
With a modern and crisp look, the redesign is easy for readers to navigate through the various sections. The layout is highly organized and uses white space strategically to create a clean and refreshing look. I also ensured that there was ample space for large images and infographics to make the content more engaging.
At Expeditors, the development cycle is crucial to the training process. In the previous design, the development cycle was used to showcase the main theme of each newsletter edition. Although this approach helped readers identify the topic quickly, it limited our team's ability to provide comprehensive training content and occupied much essential space. This design created two pain points, which I was able to identify, address, and resolve.
During the newsletter redesign, I made it a priority to keep our development cycle top-of-mind. I aimed to elevate our development cycle from being a mere "process" to becoming "pillars of training excellence." By streamlining the design-removing icons, arrows, and incorporating the training process titles into the newsletter banner-I transformed the message of our development cycle. The new redesign allowed for more training topics to be covered, successfully solving both pain points.
